How to Set Up Your SimpliFind Tracker
Follow the steps below to activate your device, install it in your vehicle and start tracking.
Your Setup Journey
Activate online first, then install and start tracking. The whole process takes just a few minutes.
Activate via Website
Open the Activation Page
Scan the QR code provided with your device or visit the SimpliFind activation page.
Create or Sign in to Your Account
Create a new SimpliFind account or sign in to an existing account.
Confirm Your Account
You will receive an email confirming that your account has been created.
Enter the Device ID / IMEI
Enter the Device ID / IMEI shown on your SimpliFind tracker.
Confirm Your Subscription and Payment
Confirm your subscription plan and provide your payment details to activate the device. Your three-month free trial begins when the device is activated.
Activation Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation email once activation is complete.
Setup & Start Tracking
Plug the Device Into Your Vehicle
Locate your vehicle's compatible OBD-II port and plug the tracker in firmly.
Confirm the Device Is Powered On
Confirm the device is receiving power. The blue and orange lights should flash.
Download the SimpliFind App
Download from the App Store or Google Play.
Log In
Log in using the SimpliFind account created during activation.
Wait for the Device to Come Online
Allow approximately 2–5 minutes for the first GPS connection. Once online, tracking can begin.
Find Your OBD-II Port
Your vehicle's OBD-II port may be located in one of several areas. The most common locations are listed below.
Under the Dashboard
Typically on the driver's side, below the steering column.
Fuse Box Area
Sometimes near the fuse panel or behind a small access panel.
Near the Steering Wheel
In the lower dashboard area within easy reach of the driver.
Centre Console
Located inside or beside the centre console compartment.
Dashboard Side Panel
On the driver's side panel or kick panel area.
Glove Box Area
Behind or inside the glove box or surrounding panel.
Getting Your First GPS Connection
After plugging in your device, it needs a short time to establish its first connection.
What to expect
- 1 Allow approximately 2–5 minutes for the first GPS connection.
- 2 The blue and orange lights should flash while the device powers on.
- 3 Once online, your vehicle will appear in the app and tracking can begin.
If it doesn't come online
- 1 Make sure the device is firmly plugged into the OBD-II port.
- 2 Move the vehicle to an open area away from covered parking for a clearer signal.
- 3 Confirm your device was activated before it was plugged in.
